Cotton is strong, breathable, comfortable and it absorbs quickly. That is why cotton is one of the most widely used fabrics in the clothing industry. However, the production is rich in pesticides and toxins, which is harmful to the health of farmers and to our planet. Next to that, the production of extremely water consuming. The growth of one kilogram cotton alone takes almost 20,000 liters of water.
That is why we choose to only make use of organic and recycled cotton. This reduces the use of raw materials and it protects famers, workers, the soil it grows, entire ecosystems and you, as a consumer.
How to treat it right: Organic cotton can be washed at 30 or 40 degrees. No stains in your clothes? Try to wash them as cold as possible. The greatest impact on the environment of washing is in the heating of the water.
