The fabric is made of 78% BCI cotton and 22% Viscose made of rose bush waste. The cotton is BCI certified, which is a global not-for-profit organisation and the largest cotton sustainability programme in the world. BCI exists to make global cotton production better for the people who produce it, better for the environment it grows in and better for the sector’s future. The buttons are made of Bioresin. Bioresin is an environmentally friendly plastic and is made from vegetable oils. Bioresin is also 100% biodegradable and reusable. All components of the garment are oekoetex-100 certified, which indicates that the garment is harmless to people and nature.
The fabric and buttons comes from Portugal. The production took place in Bulgary. Elements of freedom consciously chooses to produce as much as possible in Europe in order to comply with fair working conditions and rights.
